About Us

Baker Payne Webb – Kempsey

We are a long established, family friendly practice committed to providing each patient with a comprehensive and detailed eye examination using the latest eye care technology available.

We offer digital retinal photography to assist us in diagnosing eye conditions and all images are stored permanently for future reference. As well as screening for common eye diseases we have the latest technologies available in contact lenses and spectacle lenses including advanced FreeForm multifocals and prescription sunglasses.

Our professional friendly optical dispensers are ready to advise you according to your prescription, appearance, colouring and life style in a relaxed, personalised environment. We stock an extensive range of quality frames from high fashion to affordable choices.

Our Spare Pair option and Sunglasses deal are extremely popular with all our patients and our staff are ready to provide you with details of these promotions.

All our lenses are produced in our purpose built Optical Laboratory utilising the latest state of the art FreeForm spectacle lens generator. The new digitally created lenses vastly reduce the aberrations of traditional spectacle lenses and producing them “in house” ensures we have excellent quality control.

The People

Naomi Keast has been an Optometrist for 20 years. She graduated from UNSW and has been part of the Baker Payne Webb team since our Kempsey practice was established in 1995. Naomi loves the ongoing continuity and contact with all of her patients and their families and welcomes children, teens, the elderly and those people whose arms are “not quite long enough”. Naomi is an integral part of the health care professionals servicing the Macleay Valley.

Colleen Cooper is our Optometric Assistant and has been employed with Baker Payne Webb for many years. She has lived in Kempsey for 40 years and loves the personal approach that being a “local” can bring as she knows many of the patients on a first name basis. Colleen enjoys advising patients on the changing trends in fashion and technology in the Optometry industry.

Kristie Ardetti has worked as our part-time receptionist since 2007. Kristie finds working in the practice fascinating from both the medical perspective and the fashion angle and has an eye for finding the perfect frame for every face.
